Separately, the German automaker has added a 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine with direct injection technology to the A3. Askaprice revealed that the new engine is available in the A3 and A3 Sportback 1.4 TFSI models outputs 124 horsepower and is available from 16,365. The 1.4 replaces the 114 horsepower 1.6-litre model that produces 148lb-ft of torque from 1,500rpm, hitting 62mph in 9.6 seconds, topping out at 126mph and returning 43.5mpg. What is more, carbon emissions are at 154g/km.
