Audi iPhone In-Car Integration
Audi AG recently launched the iPhone in-car
integration, a high-technology venture with Apple.
iPhone in-car integration will allow Apple mobile phone users
to integrate their phones in all Audi models.
Apple, the best-selling mobile phone and electronic equipment
company which has sold over 270,000 iPhones in the first 30 hours
of its launch in the United States, is looking forward to sell the
innovative phones outside America. In a survey, it was found that
every third Apple fan would definitely like to buy the phone and,
what is more, do it right away.
Audi offered a new optional Music Interface for the A5, A6, A8
and the Q7, allowing owners to fully integrate Apple's new iPhone
with their car's MMI interface, Leftlane revealed. Alongside the
standard hands-free functions (accept/reject call/hands-free), the
mobile phone preparation supports the display of the signal strength
and the provider s name, in addition to the transfer of the telephone
directory including the icons Work , Home , Mobile and the call
lists, the report continued.
Shoppers and drivers alike would not be entertaining doubts about
Audi A6 parts and other mentioned product lines from the automaker
in regard to their compatibility with the mobile phone. The German
automaker has enhanced its auto parts accessories and equipment
to blend with the fresh and innovative iPhone in-car integration
offering.
Drivers who do not enjoy a music-free ambiance will enjoy the
Audi Music Interface. The feature enables shoppers to take pleasure
in the iPhone s music playback function, allowing users to navigate
conveniently through their music compilations by artist, track title,
playlists and genre.
The German automaker and Apple have been working hand in hand
to ensure the full functionality of the iPhone in all Audi product
lines. In addition to making telephone calls, the Audi music interface
(available as an optional extra for the A5, A6, A8 and Q7) allows
customers to enjoy the iPhone's music playback function in supreme
quality via the in-car sound system. What is more, thanks to the
Audi MMI, customers can navigate conveniently through their music
compilations by artist, track title, playlists and genre in exactly
the same way they are accustomed to from their iPod.
As of yet, it is not apparent whether the fresh option offered
will be available to current Audi owners. If it will be offered,
shoppers intimated their desire to learn the upgrade process. Additionally,
the consumers intend to know if the German automaker plans to start
manufacturing this functionality into new vehicles.
Separately, the German automaker has added a 1.4-litre turbocharged
gasoline engine with direct injection technology to the A3. Askaprice
revealed that the new engine is available in the A3 and A3 Sportback
1.4 TFSI models outputs 124 horsepower and is available from 16,365.
The 1.4 replaces the 114 horsepower 1.6-litre model that produces
148lb-ft of torque from 1,500rpm, hitting 62mph in 9.6 seconds,
topping out at 126mph and returning 43.5mpg. What is more, carbon
emissions are at 154g/km.
The German automaker is continuously improving its lineup and
features to cope with close competition in the auto industry. Additionally,
Audi also is absorbed in producing new products to serve the next-generation
drivers.
